Radio Lab!

Happy Happy Wednesday! My family is doing Thanksgiving today. My sister has to work tomorrow. I have spent the day so far cleaning the kitchen and making it messy again. I am in charge of the "vegetables" which means I am making the brussel sprouts, green beans and stuffed mushrooms.

Anyway while cleaning the kitchen and making it messy again I have been listening to Radio lab. Which is my favorite pod cast OF ALL TIME. I listen to this alot while doing tasks where I need my eyes and hands, like cooking, washing dishes, and lab work!  (Lab work is a lot like cooking and washing dishes, but with a lot more acid and plastic stuff) Look! Pictures of the flux fusion lab working on my undergraduate research!

Above: My friend Sam when she was still learning how to use the flux fusion oven, where we melt samples. Below: Me adding nitric acid to samples so that they will continue to dissolve.

Anyway here are the links to a few episodes:

Lost and Found! A love story, pigeons, and navigation. Start here! Start here!

The oops episode: Featuring tree rings, conversations about ecosystem disturbances and copper mines!

A war we need: Phytoplankton!
